It was a tough night for the SCPS boys’ soccer team as they suffered their second loss of the season. The Raiders fell to Woodville Tompkins by a score of 3-1. The Raiders were hoping to come away with a win after a string of bad weather and cancellations but unfortunately, they came up just short. This brings the team’s overall record to 3-2.
The game started out well for the Raiders. Both teams were locked in a defensive battle before a goal by Lincoln Jepson put the Raiders on the board. The team took that lead into halftime but unfortunately not much further. Early in the second half, the Raiders gave up a tying goal before conceding two more goals in quick succession later in the half. The Raiders had a few close calls trying to get back into it but they ended up falling short.
