Over the weekend, the boys’ and girls’ golf teams returned to action in two separate events. The boys’ golf team competed in the 13th Annual Johnny Paulk Invitational hosted by Glynn Academy at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. In most competitions, six players are allowed to compete for each team, but this tournament capped each team to five players. Senior Davis Bush and junior William Oliver led the boys’ team with scores of 76 and 80 respectively. Despite cold and windy conditions, the boys’ team posted a team score of 328. The girls’ golf team competed in the Red Terror Ryder Cup hosted by Glynn Academy at the Jekyll Island Golf Club this weekend. This match was a scramble format with double bogey pick up. Sophomores Ally Goodwin and Josie Perry played as a team scoring a 106 on 18 holes. The Raider golf season is now in full swing for both teams as they begin preparations for their next events. The boys’ team will be in action again on Tuesday in a match against Savannah Country Day.
